What the analytics page shows
Every time you mark an item as expired or thrown away, FridgeFlow records it. Over time, those records build into a picture of your habits — and Analytics is where you read that picture.
Free planAnalytics is available on all plans. You need at least a few waste events before charts become meaningful — usually after 2–3 weeks of use.

Reading the monthly trend chart
The bar chart shows how many items were wasted each month over the last 6 months. A tall bar means a bad month; a short bar means a good one.
- 1
Look for patterns
Are your tallest bars in a particular season? Many people waste more in December (big shops, lots of leftovers) and less in summer.
- 2
Look for the trend direction
If your bars are getting shorter over time, you're improving. FridgeFlow shows a percentage improvement or decline compared to 6 months ago.
Seeing a sudden spike one month? Think back to what happened — a holiday, a big shop, or a change in routine. Understanding the why helps you avoid repeating it.
Most wasted items
This list shows which items you most frequently throw out or let expire. The longer the bar, the more times that item has been wasted.
Your biggest waste offenders
Baby spinach
8 times wasted
💡 Try buying smaller bags
Greek yoghurt
5 times wasted
💡 You may be overbuying
Fresh herbs
3 times wasted
💡 Consider dried herbs instead
When your waste rate is high, FridgeFlow will show a personalised tip at the top of the Analytics page — for example: "You've wasted baby spinach 8 times. Try buying smaller bags or using it within 2 days of purchase."
Zone breakdown
The zone breakdown shows which part of your fridge produces the most waste. If your crisper drawer is always the biggest source of waste, that's a sign that things are getting lost in there.
If one zone consistently produces the most waste, try keeping that zone tidier so you can see what's in it. "Out of sight, out of mind" is the biggest cause of food waste in the fridge.
Personalised insights
When FridgeFlow spots something worth telling you, it shows a banner at the top of the Analytics page:
⚠️ Your waste rate is 35%
35% of the items you add are being wasted. Try adding items you already know you'll use, and set expiry dates so FridgeFlow can remind you.
🎉 Great job — 85% save rate!
Only 15% of your food is being wasted this month. Keep it up!
